Team Ontario Rises to the Occasion at the 2011 US Open

The province should be extremely proud of the amazing accomplishments of this years Junior Provincial Team. Lead by Head Coach Kelly Hogan and Assistant Coach Jennifer Shaver; the team placed 4th overall in the team category surrounded by some great competition. With Walnut Creek Aquanuts taking the top podium spot, Team Ontario was only behind Tokyo, Japan and Quebec. The girls worked very hard and showed wonderful determination to bring the team performance up one position in the final event, which was VERY exciting. Oh and don't worry it wasn't all grueling work; the team was also able to enjoy all the body surfing, sand and frozen yogurt they could handle in the days following the competition! The coaches and swimmers would like to thank Synchro Ontario for the outstanding support and opportunity, as well as Hawaii and USA Synchro for their top notch hospitality. These incredible synchronized swimmers did an excellent job as competitors and as ambassadors for both Ontario and Canada.

Team members are Marie Albert, Zoe Frost, Stephanie Geller, Alycia Halyk, Shelby Harding, Carlin Jessop, Alina Ko, Shannon Smith, Julie Taylor
Head Coach Kelly Hogan and Assistant Coach Jennifer Shaver.
