Synchro Swim Ontario Press Release
February 26, 2010
The Synchro Swim Ontario Board of Director's has regrettably accepted the
resignation of our Executive Director, Leslie Makins. Leslie has been with our
association since 2002 and has made numerous contributions since she came on
board. She has been an advocate of a "whole association" approach to sport,
recognizing the value and importance of all members - all roles, skill levels
and all ages. Leslie has contributed significantly to growth and development in
each of these areas. We are highly appreciative of her tireless commitment to
both our sport and our members and this is a huge loss for the Synchro Ontario
community.
We will miss her guidance and the methodical thinking that she applies to all of
her decisions. We are, however, very excited for her as she returns to school
full time to get her Masters degree, starting in May. She will be with us until
mid-April. Leslie has been an excellent resource to the synchro community at
large. We wish her all the best in her new endeavour and look forward to seeing
her at the pool on occasion. The Board of Directors thanks Leslie for all of her
hard work, dedication and time spent with us at Synchro Swim Ontario.
